Kearat Ha-Seder
A special plate for the festive meal (Seder) during Passover. A decorative round dish with a scalloped edge, decorated with floral motifs (rocailles, leaves). In the center, there are six indentations for the symbolic dishes of the Seder. Each indentation has an inscription in Hebrew indicating a specific element of the meal: זרוע (Zroa) — baked lamb bone;
ביצה (Beitzah) — hard-boiled egg; מרור (Maror) — bitter herbs; חרוסת (Charoset) — a mixture of fruit, nuts, and wine; כרפס (Karpas) — a vegetable (usually parsley or celery); חזרת (Chazeret) — additional bitter herbs (horseradish).
