Description: “Mazhor – festive prayers in the ancient Hebrew language, part V, published in 1907. The title page is decorated with national black and white ornamentation. On the back of the title page, at the bottom, there is an inscription: “Vilna, printing house ”Widow and Bros. Romm,“ corner of Dukhovsky and Glukhoy streets, own building No. 1-2.” The book has 282 pages. Each page has two types of print: large font at the top and small font at the bottom. The pages are numbered with Arabic and ancient Hebrew numerals. The cover is cardboard, embossed, with ornamentation, dark cherry in color. The spine of the cover is damaged, the pages are scattered, yellowed, with creases at the edges and in the center.
The book “Machzor for the Feast of Shavuot” is a collection of prayers in ancient Hebrew for the feast of the giving of the Torah.
The book “Machzor for Shavuot” contains prayers in ancient Hebrew according to the Ashkenazi nusach for the holiday of Shavuot (Giving of the Torah). Along with the prayers, the machzor includes commentaries from “Likutei Yakirim” and “Mishlei Yehuda.” The machzor is used on the holiday of Shavuot (Giving of the Torah), which is celebrated on the 6th of Sivan according to the Jewish calendar.
