Preservation: lost binding, restored.
Description: “Prayer book in ancient Hebrew, early 20th century. Consists of 364 pages. Two types of print: part of the text is in large print, part in small print. The cover is cardboard, homemade, with a cloth spine and corners. Part of the book is missing, as can be seen from the spine. The cover is torn at the corners and in the center. It is not possible to determine the place of publication from the collection itself, as there are no relevant records in it.”
The Book of Torah “Bemidbar” (“Numbers,” the fourth book of the Pentateuch of Moses) in Hebrew with the text of Targum Onkelos and commentaries by Rashbam, Baal ha-Toirim, Rashi, Shiftei Hahamim, Tosefot, Likutei Ikrim, Mishlei Yehuda. The last pages of the book contain laws regarding the reading of the Torah on holidays and Rosh Chodesh. The font is printed, two-type: part of the text, namely the main text of the Torah in Hebrew, is highlighted in capital letters, next to it is the text of Targum Onkelos (translation into Aramaic), and part of the text (actually comments in Hebrew and Yiddish) is printed in small letters.
