Description: “Book of Psalms, late 19th – early 20th century, printed in Hebrew. The book has a black cloth-bound embossed cover. Intended for use in worship and as a teaching aid in religious and educational institutions.”
The book contains texts of Jewish prayers read during the two holidays of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), which are celebrated on the 1st, 2nd, and 10th days of the month of Tishrei according to the Jewish calendar. The book contains the texts of prayers for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the order of the blessings of the Kohanim, morning blessings, blessings before and after meals on Rosh Hashanah, psalms that accompany the reading of prayers on these days, the rituals of Tashlich, Kaparot, etc.
