“Hall of Fame. Golden Fund of the ASJU” Award.
An award in the shape of a vertical stele or trophy on a pedestal. The main part features the logo of the Association of Sports Journalists of Ukraine (ASJU). The upper part depicts the Coat of Arms of Ukraine (Trident) with rays emanating upwards. Arov (Aronchyk) Borys Lazarevych (1919–2016): A legendary Mykolaiv journalist and WWII veteran. He dedicated over 70 years to journalism, working for the “Pivdenna Pravda” newspaper. He was accredited at numerous Olympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships. This award confirms his status as a “patriarch” of Ukrainian sports journalism and his induction into the honorary “Hall of Fame.” Donated to the museum by Faina Natanovna Maryanchik (wife of Boris Arov) in 2017.
