Heel polishing and coloring iron.
Consists of a wooden handle and a metal segment-shaped (“pastoval”) working part mounted perpendicularly to the handle. Used for finishing shoe heels. The tool is heated, dipped in wax or dye, and then used to polish and color the leather heels, “baking” the wax into the structure for shine and protection. Handle is partially scorched due to regular heating; metal shows traces of use and patina. Donated by N. M. Kushnikova (Mykolaiv) in 2008. Inventory number: MД-4658
